It's a short hike to the worksite

The sawyers have already been here.
Now it's time to build some steps

Using a rope puller to move big rocks

First task, remove the duff

Pulling rocks uphill

No high-line, just the rope-puller

Several new steps going in here

Searching the nearby area,
we find serval good rocks

Next step, build a base full of crush

Erik disconnecting the step from the rope-puller

That step is in, now onto the next one

Chief making sure it is stable

Nice work, first piece of this project is finished

Five bumps (Volunteers) on a log

Here is another section needing a few steps

Bob and Erik start building the steps

Erik and Chris have located the next step

Now all the have to do is move it

But that ends up being harder than expected

Chris tries to lift one end

It takes both of them to flip it

Now what?

Connect it to the rope-puller,
and move it into place

The base of crush is ready,
now if we could only move this rock

Lifting, pulling, lifting pulling,
slowly the rock moves closer

It's a big one, and tough to move

Almost there

This creates a very sturdy base

Now onto the next step

It's a good size, just smaller than the base

Chris does a little fine tuning or shaping

Andy found the next step on the other side of the log

Using the rope-puller and some rock bars,
the rock slowly moves closer

Crush crush crush, every step gets plenty of crush

Now isn't that is a nice set of steps

Jakob is happy, now it's time to pack up

Looks great. Time to go home.
