Wood Splitting BBQ

At the home of Cathy and David Booth, family, friends and LDTC members came together to have fun, eat great food and split some firewood. OK we split a lot of firewood, a little more than 6 cords. Everyone had a great time.

In the begining, there was a lot of wood to split

Wow that is a lot of wood

This is pile #2, the small pile

Tools at the ready

This is plie #1, the big pile

Bob works the hydraulic splitter

We always find time for a break

A whole lot more wood to split

The small pile is getting smaller

Splitting, carrying , sawing there a lot going on

Mary wants to try her hand

and try

and try...

and try again

just one more swing should do it

And finally, the wood gives way and splits

Now for a little show and tell

Jeff shows the kids how it’s done

Who says boys have to have all the fun
